This summer we are excited to announce, that we are ready to LAUNCH our elementary program 🦋

We are confident that our small elementary pop-up schools, that carry out our CORE philosophy based on Montessori music, would greatly benefit families and children.
🎶 🌎
Each school will have no more than 15 children, learning music, culture, and academics through our innovative challenge-based approach. 🤘

School will be running from 8:30 to 5:30, Monday through Friday. The number of children in one school will be extremely limited. 🥁🎸🎺 Our philosophy is to encourage curiosity, creativity, problem solving skills in child’s development! 🧠

Montessori‘s approach will be carried out through multi-age grouping of children from 6 to 12 years old, child-lead education, personalized curriculum 📚
Our first pop-ups schools will be in Cambridge, Massachusetts. If you’re interested, please send us a message.

Music is a central part of any school curriculum. 🎻💡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, many schools don’t have the budget or the expertise to have their own program. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even schools that have a great music program miss out on introducing children to music from around the world.🤝 There’s no curriculum for it, and so teachers are just doing the best they can…until now!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🦊 Fiddlefox provides classroom teachers with a rich and engaging cultural music program that can be taught by musicians and non-musicians alike. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our easy to use curriculum provides teachers with a comprehensive stand alone program 💡🧠 or supplemental content to what they are already reaching.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Teachers and students can listen to some of the incredibly diverse songs from Fiddlefox while singing in English and in the native tongue. 🦊⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our colored rainbow bells and sheet music gives teachers and children the opportunity to play music together. 🎻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And for those who are electronically inclined online streaming content, teacher resources, printables, and trainings are available at Fiddlefox Streaming.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Who is Maria Montessori? ❓❓❓⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These points explain who she is and why the Montessori philosophy is something we integrate into our own curriculum. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ Italian doctor and teacher - her education philosophy is based on child-led parenting and is named after her surname. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ She went to technical school at 12 years old which was male dominated, and managed to change how the educational system worked;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ She worked with disabled children for several years who demonstrated great results and managed to pass exams better than 'normal' children;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ She led institutions that focused on educating teachers in order how to work with disabled children;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ She is an author of many books on parenting and children development, which are very popular these days;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ She opened first “Child House” and focused on children's education and parenting issues for 45 years;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ She established Worldwide Montessori Association with her son, which is still around and growing;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ Was nominated for a Nobel Award;⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️ UNESCO decided to include Montessori in the list of four most influential teachers, who impacted the way the educational system works in the most recent century. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Her outstanding work, improvements and trainings in childcare education is why we can help guide and develop amazing leaders of tomorrow!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of the most favours phrases between Montessori teachers is: “you can teach children with only using stones and sticks”! 🤗⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every time we visit the beach, spend time near water or in the woods I notice this more and more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My children can spend HOURS sitting down concentrated, without arguments, fighting, shouting... and instead, playing with soil, sticks and stones! 🌳🌲⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You may ask, but how it links to Montessori system?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌴 It is the trust towards our environment - everyone knows that going for walks in nature is beneficial!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌴 Natural objects for play. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌴 Ability to spend time by yourself!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is amazing to see, but children are SELF-SUFFICIENT in such an environment and we follow our instincts simply leave them ALONE! 😉🤝⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tell us below, are you more of a BEACH or WOODS person?

EARLY CHILD DEVELOPMENT: good or bad?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First, let’s establish what early development means…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mary Montessori stated that early development and environmental influence starts from the moment the baby is conceived 🤰.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She established that the child is growing and developing regardless if they have an adult presence near them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The newborn’s brain 🤱 is developing gradually: not steady, but in phases. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our children 🧒👧, like sponges, absorb information they receive from their surroundings.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In Montessori philosophy, the main focus is paid towards periods of most opportunities when it comes to mental development 🧠, which start between ages 0 to 6 years old. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
An adult⠀🙎‍♀️🙎‍♂️ can either help the child reach their maximum potential 👩‍👧‍👦,, or become a barrier towards achieving it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mary Montessori: “Protecting the child too much only limits their development” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This means that the point is not about benefits or damages of early development ☝️, because despite it the child is naturally growing and developing anyway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The point here is - whether we as adults support early development of our children or become a barrier towards it?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
